The globe symbolizes the Army wide and unit’s global mission. The dagger alludes to the aggressive and protective requirement and the element of physical danger inherent on the responsibilities of the unit. Background The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved as an exception to policy by HQDA, G-1 and authorized on 21 September 2007.
