Ukrainian-Russian war. Day 513:
Situation south of Bakhmut: Ukrainian army took full control over the southwestern farms of Bakhmut and troops are trying to enter inside the abandoned military warehouse. On the other hand Russian Army managed to recapture one hill adjacent to Klishchiivka/Кліщіївка.

Ukrainian-Russian war. Day 513:
Situation north of Bakhmut: Ukrainian Army launched new attack few kilometers south of Berkhivka/Берхівка and recaptured some hills adjacent to Khromove/Хромове and Yahidne/Ягідне. On the other hand Ukrainian forces withdrew from the dam area of Berkhivka due to intensive Russian artillery activity.

Situation at Luhansk front: Russian Army continue advancing at the western shore of Zherebets river taking control of many farms west of Karmazynivka/Кармазинівка town.

❗️Zaporozhye Front, a group of forcibly mobilized Ukrainian soldiers who surrendered.

According to a number of sources, the Ukrainian military can contact Russian fighters for surrender on radio frequency 149.200, call the Volga, and this is all that is needed in order to stay alive..

Our boys made significant progress towards Makeevka ( Svatovo Front) today.

Also these minutes ours again attack at the created bridgehead across the Zherebets river.

There are already just over 3km between the river and our positions on the advancing side. The enemy continues to retreat. We go in the direction of Novojehorivka.

On cluster munitions,

I’m seeing a lot of comments in chat which respond to word or footage of Ukrainian cluster munition strikes that are in the vein of, “Russia must immediately use these too!!”

Or worse, “Russia should use cluster munitions on Kiev!”

Calm your horses.

Cluster munitions are not some “game changing wonder weapon” like all the rest sent to Ukraine.

In terms of military use it has a niche role and is otherwise extremely limited. It is equivalent to flying over a target zone and dumping a bag of hand grenades out the side.
This is useful in defense against advancing infantry or unarmored vehicles out in the open and not much else.

It is utterly useless on offense against fortified lines. Ukraine utilizing these shells while on Schroedinger’s Offensive simply showcases they’re short on the ammo they need, nothing more.

Russia can, and has been using such munitions in kind when and where appropriate already, to greater effect on the defense.

The problem is that excessive use of such effectively creates uncharted minefields in your own path of advance or possible path of counter-advance.

Again, this is a munition with a very narrow purpose, not some sort of slate wiper.

That said, using such munitions against urban targets serves absolutely zero military purpose whatsoever, and any use of such on cities would only kill civilians.
So calls for “shell Kiev with this!” and the like shall be treated in chat as calling for strikes on civilians and dealt with accordingly.

Again, think with your brain and your soul, not your heart.

Combat footage: Landing troops destroy Ukrainian forces near Artemovsk.

Ukrainian channel Legitimny writes:

Literally everything is flying towards Odessa. Arrivals continue. Already more than a dozen in different parts of the city and suburbs. Now the launch of “Calibres”. Another long night awaits the region.
Odessa is being hit for two reasons:
1. Due to the cancellation of the grain deal;
2. Because of the launches of drones/ missiles from Odessa towards Crimea.

⚡ At least seven arrivals in Odessa and the second wave of cruise missiles coming

Arrivals are also recorded near Raduzhny and in the port area. Nearby are the training center "Chabanka" of the 28th Motorized Brigade in the Guards and the Regional Krivoy Rog Center of the RER "South" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Krasnoselka. In Odessa itself is the Office of the Operational Command "South".

Also, missiles go to Ochakov, Chernomorsk and Nikolaev, where personnel and Western equipment were drawn. Presumably, Kh-22, Caliber and P-800 Onyx are used. Behind the missiles are two waves of Geranium-2 drones.
