The Hungarian authorities announced the completion of the operation to evacuate the country's citizens and Afghans who worked for its armed forces.
According to the Minister of Defense of the republic, Tibor Benko, in total Hungary took out 540 people.
“In total, 57 families were taken out, including 180 children. As for the Afghans (working for Hungary), 87% of them were evacuated. We evacuated everyone who contacted us in a timely manner and remained in contact, ”the minister said.
