— 🇧🇫⚔ The Brigadier General Gilbert Dienderen is well-known in Burkina Faso for being a long aide and an old friend of the Former Dictator of the country, Blaise Compaoré, who led a Coup against the Soviet-backed Marxist revolutionary Thomas Sankara (nicknamed as 'Africa's Che Guevara') in the 1980s.
Mr. Dienderen was arrested in 2015 after making a Coup d'etat aiming to stop the dissolution of the RSP, a Praetorian-esque Presidential Guard of Burkina Faso, which was heavily involved in Coup attempts in the past against Compaoré.
