🇺🇸⚡️ — Pete Hegseth is privately being encouraged by close advisers to consider a 2028 presidential run, although he publicly denies having such ambitions.

His advisers believe his combative, macho image could appeal to MAGA voters, particularly if JD Vance decides not to run.

However, Hegseth faces major obstacles, including his lack of political experience, weak donor connections, Pentagon controversies and support for the unpopular Iran war.

🇺🇸⚡️ — President Trump is blaming senior aides and political operatives for a faltering midterm strategy, questioning campaign spending, faulting the redistricting push, and second-guessing candidate choices as Republicans fight to keep control of Congress, with much of the friction centered on MAGA Inc. head James Blair and chief of staff Susie Wiles.

Polls suggest Democrats will win the House while the Senate remains too close to call, as Trump's approval sits at the lowest point of his presidency, and the White House dismissed the claims as "baseless speculation."

Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff have discussed restarting Russian gas pipelines through Ukraine and potentially Nord Stream, with U.S. investors possibly taking a share of the profits.

Germany is strongly opposed, warning that renewed energy dependence would threaten European security. The AfD, however, supports restoring imports to lower energy prices.
