The survey shows 66% disapprove (including 52% strongly), while only 28% approve of his handling of the economy amid inflation and rising gas prices tied to the Iran war.
Other recent polling echoes these figures, ranging from 30% in Pew to 36% in Fox News.
The numbers come just ahead of the November 3 midterms, with multiple polls showing Democrats leading the generic congressional ballot.

🇫🇷 Summary of the situation in France:
⬛ Yesterday evening, Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez submitted his resignation to the President, but Emmanuel Macron did not accept it, saying the minister must remain in office to ensure continuity of command of the security services during the riots.
⬛ In Marseille, the police prefecture reports that around 30,000 people have been involved in looting and destroying shops and other buildings.
⬛ The government has announced that local authorities may start introducing night-time movement restrictions, and that a decision on declaring a state of emergency will be taken if these measures do not work.
⬛ Justice Minister Gérald Darmanin said that the intelligence services have failed in their fight against the far left and that the scale of the riots took them by surprise.
⬛ The Louvre Museum has been occupied today by far-left student organisations from the School of Fine Arts.
⬛ The government refuses to deploy the army to quell the riots, an option proposed by some politicians from the right and from the presidential coalition, including former Prime Minister Gabriel Attal.
⬛ The organisers of the protests have announced they will continue on 24 and 31 October.
⬛ The leaders of National Rally refused to meet with the Prime Minister to discuss the riots, delegating the party’s vice-president instead and claiming that such a meeting is meaningless.
⬛ In many French cities, spontaneous demonstrations are taking place in front of government offices, where people are demanding a stronger police presence and a firm government response to restore order.

The shipment of missiles, fully paid for by Ukraine’s allies, including through NATO mechanisms, is awaiting Hegseth’s signature. However, the Pentagon chief is deliberately blocking the process.
Ukrainian officials view this decision as another means of political pressure from Washington.

According to BFMTV, in the capital there will be a curfew from 23:00 to 6:00. The measure will apply to Place de la République and the streets around Les Halles (this area suffered the most from the unrest that swept through France over the weekend). Absolutely all citizens and tourists will be banned from being in these places (and not only minors, as was announced earlier).
Curfews are also being introduced in other French cities. The prefecture of the Rhône department has imposed it in part of Lyon from 21:00 to 6:00 for one night. In the center of Nice, it will apply to minors from 21:00. The prefectures of northern communes of France have introduced a similar measure: a curfew from 20:00 to 6:00 for persons under 18 has been announced in some districts of the cities of Lille, Wattignies, Douai and Denain. It will be in force for the next two days, BFMTV reports.
The decision of the French authorities was taken against the backdrop of unrest that has been going on throughout France for more than a month: students and schoolchildren are taking part, protesting against a shortage of teachers, the poor condition of schools, and the introduction of fees for a number of educational programs. This weekend they were joined by farmers, climate activists and the Yellow Vests movement. According to government estimates, more than 800,000 people have taken part in the unrest. In major cities, shops and boutiques have been looted, and in the streets of Paris police dispersed demonstrators with tear gas and water cannons. Fires have also been recorded in buildings in several cities during the protests. For example, in Limoges a fire caused the collapse of the town hall tower, which was built back in the 19th century.
