They are not #GenerationZ , we are the dead generation.
Otherwise, there is no “Z.”
They are our own children.
This is us who stayed silent and slept, and we are not awake.

We claim to have elite schools, that our children have received gold medals and top rankings but now many of them dream of leaving Iran to USA, the very same one who we chant « Death to America », they long to go to #America…

My understanding was that if I took that action, it would ignite a conflict in societyone that I wouldn’t be able to control.
And I’m not supposed to do something that pushes society toward division and confrontation.
I personally believe in hijab.
All the women in my family wear chador, but that doesn’t mean that someone who doesn’t is not a decent person.
It’s simply a belief and conviction that I live by.
You mean you believe that even the name of this law “Hijab and Chastity” is fundamentally problematic?
Well, now that Parliament has made its decision, I can’t really say whether it’s right or wrong.
I just didn’t know how to enforce such a law.
So, you don’t equate lack of hijab with lack of chastity and virtue, correct?
Exactly the gap between virtue ,chastity and hijab is vast.
Virtue is one thing; that whole process is something entirely different.
Does that mean that those living abroad who don’t wear chador or headscarves are all unchaste and without virtue?
Such a thought is inconceivable.
In general, the principle should be that we avoid pushing the country forward through conflict and division.

Pezeshkian : “We claim to have elite schools, that our students win medals and honors but how many of them are truly attached to this country?
How many dream of leaving it?
The same ones who we chant “Death to America” , now they are dreaming of going to America.
So what have we done to these children? “
Negar : “My name is Negar Pivasteh. I recently received my high school diploma and I’m a gold medalist at the MIKAI World Competition in Malaysia in the field of Biotechnology.
Today, I have come here simply to represent my generation and to present a clear argument about why the idea of migration comes to our minds.
Out of a class of 25 students, only 15 of us even made it to the university entrance exam.
Personally, the only thing that made me happy was the thought of leaving.
I managed to earn a fully funded scholarship from Harvard University in the United States the top-ranked university in the world.
And why do they make such investments?
Because they aim to educate pharmacists and innovators, while our educational system here only trains employees.
Our system trains medicine sellers medicine traders, not pharmacists.
We are under sanctions, everything is filtered, and there is no support.
Up to this very moment, every project I have carried out or invention I have registered has been funded solely through my parents’ personal savings.
My mother is a teacher with 20 years of experience, yet she earns only 21 million tomans.
The real investment today should be in the minds of the people who are building the future.
The fact that we have vast mines and rich natural resources can no longer be used as an argument because a country like Japan was built not on resources, but on the strength of its scientists.
They created technology, not just products.
Many essential materials are no longer imported into the country.
They block Iran’s IP address wherever they can, and they don’t even sell us the raw materials needed to produce medicine.
Despite all these problems and challenges, I went ahead and produced my medicine and with determination, I earned my world gold medal.
But now I know that there is no place in this country for me to produce, and no organization willing to support me so that I can bring my work to life.
Only through my published paper can I go there, start my own startup, and become the CEO of my own company because they train pharmacists, while Iran trains employees.”
Pezeshkian : “These are not things we can simply ignore or overlook.
We are to blame.
I am to blame and everyone who held responsibility must answer for it.
Everyone must be held accountable it shouldn’t be only me.”
