ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਰਤੀ ਦਾ ਤਰੀਕਾ ਬਦਲਿਆ
ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਵੱਡਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਬ-ਇੰਸਪੈਕਟਰ (SI) ਦੀ ਅਸਾਮੀ 'ਤੇ ਸਿੱਧੀ ਭਰਤੀ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ। ਹੁਣ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਸਿੱਧੇ ਅਸਿਸਟੈਂਟ ਸਬ-ਇੰਸਪੈਕਟਰ (ASI) ਦੀ ਅਸਾਮੀ 'ਤੇ ਭਰਤੀ ਹੋਣਗੇ। ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ, ਇੰਟੈਲੀਜੈਂਸ, ਇਨਵੈਸਟੀਗੇਸ਼ਨ ਅਤੇ ਟੀ.ਐਸ.ਐਸ. ਕੈਡਰ ਵਿੱਚ 30% ਅਸਾਮੀਆਂ ਸਿੱਧੀ ਭਰਤੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਭਰੀਆਂ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ, ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਆਰਮਡ ਕੈਡਰ ਵਿੱਚ 10% ਅਸਾਮੀਆਂ ਸਿੱਧੀ ਭਰਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਭਰੀਆਂ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ।
ਪਹਿਲਾਂ SI ਦੀਆਂ 50% ਤੱਕ ਅਸਾਮੀਆਂ ਸਿੱਧੀ ਭਰਤੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਭਰੀਆਂ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਸਨ। ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ASI ਹੀ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾਤਰ ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਸ ਪੱਧਰ 'ਤੇ ਭਰਤੀ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਥਾਣਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਵੇਂ, ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ (ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਿਕਸ਼ਿਤ) ਅਤੇ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਪੜ੍ਹੇ-ਲਿਖੇ ਜਾਂਚ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਮਿਲਣਗੇ।
