TYRMAND COURT UPDATE:
Miami Judge Mato has officially DENIED FOUR discovery requests that Matthew Tyrmand’s lawyer attempted to bring for potential discovery.
The four requests included “Names of donors & donations from marketing emails,” & “James’ Project Veritas deposition of the 2023 SDNY case.”
At the hearing in Miami, FL this morning Judge Mato appeared annoyed at Tyrmand’s lawyer:
“I understand there is a history between these two men, but this is a wild goose chase [Mr. Maroni].”
“I don’t think we need to get into a case that has been dismissed, we don’t need to go down the rabbit hole [Mr. Maroni].”
“I am going to deny 19, 18, 17, & 16 [Tyrmand’s requested discovery sections].”
The judge also completely disagreed with Tyrmand’s lawyer on including donations from O’Keefe supporters:
“Don’t people make money on social media every day?”
“I disagree with you Mr Maroni that Mr O’Keefe emailing individuals and mentioning Mr Tyrmand is a violation of the injunction.”
Tyrmand’s lawyer quickly interrupted the Judge saying:
“I never made that allegation.”
Judge Mato: “You kind of did…[Mr. Maroni].”
Thank you to Judge Mato for throwing out the improper requests today and bringing common sense to the courtroom.
Our case is still ongoing and we’ll keep all of you updated.
