Arrest of Two Iranian Kurds by Security Forces in Bukan

Two brothers, identified as Aziz and Omid Abdollahzadeh, have been arrested by security forces in the city of Bukan.

According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, Aziz Abdollahzadeh, 33, and Omid Abdollahzadeh, 35, two brothers from the village of Hosein Abad in Bukan County, were arrested by security forces on Thursday, May 15, 2025, without the presentation of any judicial warrant.

According to reports, Aziz Abdollahzadeh was arrested at his workplace in Amirabad (Mirava), Bukan, while Omid Abdollahzadeh was detained after being summoned to the Intelligence Office of the city.

At the time of this report, the family’s efforts to obtain information about the brothers’ whereabouts and the charges against them have yielded no results.

Armin Khodamoradi, an Iranian Kurd from Sanandaj, has been arrested by security forces in the city and transferred to an undisclosed location.

According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, Armin Khodamoradi, a 26-year-old resident of Sanandaj, was arrested on Friday, May 16, 2025, by security forces at his home without the presentation of any judicial warrant and taken to an unknown location.

At the time of this report, the family’s efforts to obtain information about his whereabouts and the charges against him have been unsuccessful.

Arrest of Three Iranian Kurds by Security Forces in Urmia

Three Iranian Kurds from the town of Ziveh in the Margevar region were arrested by security forces and taken to an unknown location.

According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, Jalal Farrokhi, Rana Khoran, and Rozhin Khoran — three Kurdish residents of Urmia — were arrested at their family home by security forces on the night of Monday, May 26, 2025, without any judicial warrant, and were transferred to an undisclosed location.

Previously, Jalal Farrokhi and his two nieces, Rana and Rozhin Khoran, had been summoned by Urmia’s Intelligence Department during the Nowruz 1404 (March 2025) celebrations.

At the time of this report, the families’ efforts to obtain information about the fate of these individuals have been met with silence from security and judicial authorities.

According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, Asgar Najafi, an Iranian Kurd from Qasr-e Shirin in Kermanshah Province, was arrested at his workplace in the city’s bazaar on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, by security forces without a judicial warrant and transferred to an unknown location.
