That was a frustrating debate to have. It’s frustrating speaking to people who won’t consider the human element to our arguments and want an establishment-approved study to prove things which are basic common sense. When I provided the Quilliam study when we were discussing grooming gangs, their response was to Google it and then discredit it by saying people on Google are discrediting it. Next, they tried to discredit it by criticising the sample size. All of this was without reading it. It’s easy to pick and choose a study to match your narrative, especially when the establishment who is producing these reports is on your side in the first place. All in all, it was a fun stream, but I wonder what the point is in discussing a human problem with people who only want spreadsheets.

The debate between Mark and Laura and the two neoliberals followed the predictable path of the libs endlessly appealing to the data and studies of the system.

I find it pure sophistry because if any data set proved multiculturalism is a disaster they’d reject the data and cite another source to fit their politics.

Yet weirdly and by implication they expect us to believe that if it could be empirically proven that multiculturalism was a negative they’d suddenly change their politics and endorse its dismantling.

Does anybody still pay attention to these little nerds? Remember when we formed PA and they told us we were doing everything wrong and they had all the answers? It’s perfectly reasonable to dismiss “muh academic studies” out of hand. These “studies” are just a giant libtard circle jerk to reinforce the established orthodoxy. If the academics that author these studies aren’t already dyed in the wool true believing shitlibs, then they know goddamn well what will happen if they step out of line with their findings or opinions. (See: Charles Murray, Ricardo Duchesne, J. Phillipe Rushton, Kevin MacDonald, James Watson, hell… even Jordan Peterson.)

Studies on soft sciences are especially suspect since they deal with controversial and politically charged issues and often the people conducting them are emotionally committed to an outcome conducive to their worldview. These studies are so unreliable that hoax studies get easily published in “prestigious” peer reviewed journals.

Even studies on some of the hard sciences merit healthy skepticism. Take nutrition for example, every few years a food type will magically switch from healthy to un-healthy or vice versa depending on the latest findings. The only thing about diet we really are certain of is that too much sugar is bad for you, something every mother of small children knows naturally.

We’re actually at a point where the only studies that should be taken seriously are the ones with findings that contradict the reigning orthodoxy.

What we’re witnessing with these academic studies is sort of a reverse Occam’s Razor: The easiest explanation won’t do, because the implications of it discredit the egalitarian fantasy. So there must be a more “complex” or “complicated” explanation.

(I’ve noticed these libtards love to use “it’s more complex than that” often. A good practice is to press them on it. Very often what they really mean is “just believe me and let’s change the subject”.)
