Five middle schoolers who refused to compete against a biological male in the shot put have been banned from future competitions.
West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey is now filing a lawsuit against the Harrison County Board of Education on behalf of the banned students.
"I will do everything in my power to defend these brave young girls. This is just wrong. We must stand for what’s right and oppose these radical trans policies," he said.
On April 18, the 5 girls showed up to the Track and Field Championship and refused to throw.
Transgender Becky Pepper-Jackson ended up winning the shot put competition with a 32-foot throw.

Florida police capture illegal immigrant from Guatemala after he stabbed his girlfriend and her 4-year-old daughter to death.
Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister says they saw a horrifying scene when they discovered the girlfriend and her daughter in a pool of blood.
Angel Gabriel Cuz-Choc reportedly murdered them with a knife.
A bloody hand print was found on the side of the mobile home where the victims were found. Authorities believe the print was from the girlfriend who was fighting for her life.
The three arrived from Guatemala just three months ago.
Cuz-Choc is facing two first-degree murder charges.
