🇺🇸 A #Milwaukee sanitation worker was hospitalized with an eye injury and concussion after improperly discarded oxygen tanks exploded while a garbage truck was compacting trash. Milwaukee police are investigating, as the improper disposal of pressurized canisters can result in fines up to $5,000.

DPW Sanitation Services Manager Rick Myers said, "One of the pieces of shrapnel was lodged in his eye. They were able to remove that. We are very fortunate that he was wearing his safety glasses."

🇺🇸 #Arizona. A U.S. Marine Corps MV-22B Osprey catches on fire at Mesa Gateway Airport, prompting an emergency response from local firefighting crews.

A fire originated in the right nacelle (the housing for the right engine and propeller) while the aircraft was still on the ground. All personnel safely evacuated the aircraft. No injuries were reported among the crew or responding firefighters.

🇺🇸 Goose narrowly escapes death as a #Georgia police officer rams his patrol vehicle under the SUV of a man who was wanted on drug charges.

Camera footage captured the moment the SUV went on top of the patrol car before the driver tried fleeing on foot. Jorge Luiz Delgado-Bermudez was arrested and is facing drug charges involving methamphetamine and cocaine. Authorities say they believe he is connected to a larger criminal organization.

That goose just survived a police chase it wasn’t even involved in. Wrong place, wrong migration.

🇺🇸 Sparks flew from the tail of a Kalitta Air Boeing 777 as it scraped the runway during a landing attempt in #Cincinnati.

Video shows the Kalitta Air Boeing 777 scraping its tail along the runway before the crew aborted the landing, took back off and circled around for another attempt. The plane landed safely a short time later, and no injuries were reported. Kalitta Air says the aircraft has been removed from service for inspection.

A scary moment, but credit to the flight crew for recognizing the tail strike, executing the go-around, and bringing the aircraft back safely.

Spanish pilot pranks Argentina fans into thinking they won the World Cup, causing the cabin to go wild. Passengers were seen jumping from their seats as the pilot made the announcement.

"Both teams gave it their all, but unfortunately, only one can win a World Cup final. We wanted to congratulate our fellow Argentinians," he said.

After the cabin cheered, the pilot said, "Because Spain has won the World Cup," according to Spanish outlet La Vanguardia.
