🇺🇸 Elk Grove, #California. An Amazon worker followed a 71-year-old man inside a gas station after allegedly becoming upset because the man had taken his parking spot.

The Amazon driver then struck the 71-year-old man, knocking him to the ground and causing a concussion. The Amazon driver was arrested and charged with felony battery and elder abuse.

Over a parking spot? Walking away would have cost nothing. Now one man is injured and another is facing serious charges. What a pointless escalation..

🇺🇸 Fort Myers, #Florida. Jorge Valle Armijo, 41, who is in the country illegally, was found to be in possession of cocaine and marijuana. Armijo attempted to flee and an officer deployed a Taser.

The suspect fell to the ground and cried. He is currently being held at the Lee County Jail on an ICE detainer.

After reviewing the incident, the Simi Valley Unified School District decided to fire Adam Brubaker as the football coach of Royal High School. The firing happened just hours before the school's season-opening game Friday. Brubaker said the incident captured on video was an accident.

According to the woman who recorded the video -“Here we go 1 was having a day with my daughter grocery shopping at the Big Rapids Walmart as we were leaving we heard was leave me along, leave me alone as we got closer is was a young black special needs boy with his case manager out shopping and was being antagonize by the Walmart security to the point where they grabbed him, threw him on the ground and they both were choking him."

🇺🇸 Knoxville, #Tennessee. Family cries for help as officers sprint to save a baby who had stopped breathing.

Bodycam footage from the scene shows the officers arriving to a chaotic crowd of family and neighbors in the parking lot before rushing in — the child was reported unresponsive and had stopped breathing normally when the 911 call came in.

Officers Clayton McWilliams and Victoria Jackson rushed to the scene and were able to clear the baby's airway within seconds of arriving.

🇺🇸 2 pit bulls attack a woman jogging, a good Samaritan trying to help her, and then her husband as they terrorize a #NewYork neighborhood.

The incident happened on Long Island, and the dogs slammed the woman to the ground, attacking her for over a minute. After the pit bulls attacked the woman and the man trying to help her, her husband came, and they attacked him too.

The owner of the pit bulls says they are “affectionate rescues” and should have a second chance.

🇮🇹 #Italy. A storm knocked over four planes at Italy’s Forlì Airport.

A powerful storm hit the airport. Three light aircraft were lifted off the runway and tossed around like toys. Another plane was blown off course while landing. The airport was urgently closed for an hour until the storm subsided. The storm also hit the nearby city, where torrential rain flooded several streets.

🇺🇸 15-year-old opens fire on 2 women he never spoke to at a #Detroit liquor store, leaving one dead.

The woman fatally shot while entering a liquor store has been identified as 57-year-old Faith Williams. Williams died, while her niece was also shot and remains hospitalized. In a social media post, Williams’ niece said they did not say anything to the suspect before the shooting. The attack was random, although Detroit police have not confirmed a motive.

People who know the teen said he has not been the same since recently losing his mother. In one video recorded around the time of the shooting, he appears to be holding what may be his mother’s obituary. The teen fled on foot but was taken into custody Saturday morning, according to Detroit police. The investigation remains ongoing.

🇺🇸 A single-engine plane went down off the coast of Boca Raton, #Florida, on Saturday morning, with the pilot taken to the hospital as a precaution after beachgoers saw the aircraft glide just feet above the water before smoothly splashing down.

Faith Tankley was flying from Fort Myers to the Bahamas when, about 27 km from shore, the right engine failed, followed by a landing gear malfunction. She decided not to try to reach an airport — with a full tank of fuel, a hard landing could have caused a fire.

Quick thinking and a water landing likely saved this pilot's life.
