🇺🇸 Detroit, #MI. Officers were handling an unrelated arrest…when Alonzo Lee-Perkins walked right by the patrol car holding a gun.
Officers attempted to detain Alonzo but he fled. During the foot pursuit an officer gave a force warning but Alonzo did not stop. The officer fired 4x…striking the fleeing Alonzo in the back. The gun Alonzo was carrying landed a few feet from his body.
——
Local news reported that the DA dropped the charges against the suspect. Also. The cop isn’t being charged. As he has a reasonable belief of death / GBH. The family has a Go Fund Me. The community has been protesting over this one. Activists gathered outside the Detroit Police Department’s 3rd Precinct to demand the release of body camera footage.

🇺🇸 One of #NorthCarolina's oldest county fairs dating back to 1882 was forced to close early after a "horde of brawling teens" began beating each other and vandalizing property.. for nearly three hours.
Nearly 50 "teens" were ejected from the fair, but the amount of unruly behavior overwhelmed the police so the fairgrounds were forced to close early to protect members of the public.
——
After the fair was closed, the "teens" then went to a nearby business and trashed the place, causing yet another police response and forcing that business to close..
