🇺🇸 A self-driving Tesla crashed into a #California highway (on I-80 in Solano County) patrol vehicle, seriously injuring two officers inside.

According to the officers, the driver said he was asleep at the time and using the car’s driver-assistance technology. FSD is Level 2 and requires constant supervision. Investigation ongoing; vehicle logs will confirm if it was active.

Israeli settlers have attacked Palestinians harvesting olives in the occupied West Bank, injuring at least two people, including a Washington Post photojournalist.

Witnesses say around 80 masked settlers threw stones and set fire to olive trees near Abu Falah. Palestinian villagers threw stones back.

Israeli soldiers arrived and fired tear gas towards Palestinians as gunshots rang out nearby. The Israeli military and police say they are investigating the violence.

🇺🇸 San Diego man fatally shot by police after setting K-9 on fire inside adult store.

Saul Sandoval Chavez, 33, fled on foot and barricaded himself inside the Adult Emporium on 30th Street in North Park while armed with a blowtorch and flammable liquid. After he refused to exit, they deployed K-9 Ryder. Chavez ignited the device, setting the dog on fire. As he advanced toward the door still carrying the incendiary, Officer Kyle Lehr fired, striking him.

San Diego police fatally shot a man after he set a police K-9 on fire and then set himself ablaze inside an adult video store, authorities said. Ryder was treated and is expected to recover.

🇺🇸 Serial bank robber faces life in prison after being caught pretending to be disabled and then stealing almost $3,000. Watson has robbed 4 banks.

Byron Watson, 37, walked into a Slidell bank with a face mask and disguised himself as someone who needed a cane before handing the teller a note and shouting, “This is a robbery!” Watson was handed $2,900. The car he screeched away from the scene in had a distinctive sticker on the window, and police traced it back to Watson.

Assistant District Attorney Caitlin Rodzik told Watson in court, “If you're going to get caught because of a bank robbery where you were identified by your neck tattoos, you might want to wear a neck brace next time you want to rob a bank.”
