When a Toyota driver confronted him about his behavior, the man waited until a red light, got out of his car, and approached the Toyota. But instead of attacking the driver, he opened the passenger door and punched a 66-year-old woman in the head.

On October 20, police identified the suspect. He turned out to be a Polish citizen, although his Porsche had foreign license plates. Authorities are now searching for him. Police initially classified the attack as a violation of bodily integrity.

Chief Daniel Comeaux said officers used Flock cameras to track him to a motel and ordered him and the other person he entered with to exit the room. Casas came out pointing a gun at the officers and was quickly shot by an officer.
