The Duma adopted a law on the right of the Rosgvardia to have volunteer formations in its composition.
The Russian Rosgvardia will be able to include volunteer formations, the participants of which will be subject to the benefits and social guarantees that apply to mobilized, contract military personnel and members of volunteer formations assisting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
Such formations may be involved in carrying out defense tasks during the period of mobilization, martial law, in conditions of armed conflict, as well as in the event of the introduction of a counter-terrorist operation regime and when the Rosgvardia troops are used outside the Russian Federation.
