I dont think a movie needs to appeal or cater to men to not be anti-male. Things can and should be for women without bashing men. And I think its perfectly reasonable for a woman like myself (who would otherwise be excited for a barbie movie) to be disappointed that Barbie was leftist propaganda, which is NOT what it was marketed as.

And as for men who are reviewing Barbie, they may not be the intended audience, but considering that the movie is already a cultural phenomenon, they're bound to be affected by it in at least some way, if only by proxy through their wives/girlfriends/daughters exposure to it. Surely its not unreasonable for some men to weigh in on something that millions and millions of people (even if theyre mostly women) will be watching.

Similarly, do films need to cater to conservatives? No. But I think conservatives, like any potential customers, are still entitled to give their opinions about movies, whether positive or negative.

I hate this SO much.

I want to be a dad someday and whilst I understand the concern about where we are heading in the west, it makes me determined to make sure my children do not turn into mindless zombies.
