Press release:

▪️ This morning, heavy rain caused severe damage to tents sheltering thousands of displaced people in various areas of the Gaza Strip. The rainwater flooded their tents, damaging and destroying their belongings and bedding.
▪️ The affected areas include:
- Al-Yarmouk Stadium Shelter camp
- Gaza Municipality Park
- Al-Shati Refugee Camp
- Tents set up in schools
Central and southern Gaza areas include Wadi Al-Dumaytha in Al-Qarara, Wadi Al-Salqa, Al-Amal neighborhood Pond, the campus of Al-Aqsa University, Al-Shakoush in Al-Mawasi, Rafah, and the Al-Birka and Saqal Al-Bahr areas in Deir Al-Balah.

▪️ We raise questions to the global humanitarian community and international organizations: If the displaced people's tents were significantly damaged this morning by light and limited rainfall, what would happen in the event of heavy and continuous rains? Undoubtedly, a catastrophic humanitarian scene looms if the displaced remain in these camps under such conditions, especially since many of their tents are no longer habitable.

▪️ We strongly warn that the displaced face severe risks if low-lying areas are flooded with rainwater, particularly given the blockage of sewage systems caused by the Israeli occupation army's destruction of Gaza's infrastructure. Additionally, there is a real fear of collapsing homes and buildings housing displaced families, as many of these structures are unsafe and at risk of collapse due to prior Israeli bombardment.

▪️ We urgently appeal to the international humanitarian community and the United Nations to act swiftly to save the lives of Palestinian displaced people in Gaza's camps before it is too late. We call for immediate assistance in providing them with proper shelters, such as tents and caravans, to protect them from the harsh conditions of the winter season.

Tragedy as Rain Falls on Displaced People's Tents

With the arrival of the weather depression and the onset of rain, a new tragedy has struck the tents of displaced people. Their shelters were flooded, leaving their belongings drenched and exposing their children to severe cold.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّ سُكَّانَ غَزَّةَ حَالُهُمْ لَا يَخْفَى عَلَيْكَ إِنَّهُمْ جَوْعَى فَأَطْعَمْهُمْ وَمَرْضَى فَشَفَّهُمْ وَعُرَاةٌ فَكَسَّهُمْ وَيَرْتَجِفُونَ مِنْ الْبَرْدِ فَأَدْفَئَهُمْ

Two martyrs and two injured were recovered from Masbah area, north of Rafah, after Israeli occupation planes targeted them and they were transferred to Nasser Medical Complex in southern Gaza Strip.

انتشال شهداء ومصابين وما يزال البحث جاريا عن مفقودين في المنزل المستهدف لعائلة الجدبة

⭕ توقف مركبات الدفاع المدني عن العمل في "محافظة غزة"

▪️نعلن عن توقف كافة مركباتنا "الإطفاء والإنقاذ والإسعاف" عن العمل في "محافظة غزة" لاستمرار رفض الإحتلال الإسرائيلي توفير السولار اللازم لتشغيلها، وعليه لن تستطيع طواقمنا الاستجابة لنداءات المواطنين، حتى يسمح الاحتلال الإسرائيلي للمنظمات الإنسانية إدخال كميات السولار اللازمة.

▪️نحذر من أن استمرار رفض ادخال وتزويد الدفاع المدني بكميات السولار اللازمة لتشغيل مركبات الإنقاذ والإطفاء هو بمثابة الحكم بالموت والإعدام على المواطنين الذين يقصف الاحتلال الإسرائيلي مساكنهم وتتعرض للحرائق، ويضع المواطنين أمام مخاطر كبيرة في ظل تكاثف عمليات القصف الإسرائيلي للمنازل الممتلكات السكنية.

▪️وبذلك تعتبر مركباتنا بمحافظتي غزة والشمال متوقفة عن خدمات الدفاع المدني، دون تدخل إغاثي دولي أو عربي لحماية شعبنا الفلسطيني الأعزل في قطاع غزة.

⭕ Civil Defense vehicles stop working in Gaza Governorate.

▪️ We announce that all our fire, rescue, and ambulance vehicles have stopped working in Gaza Governorate due to the Israeli occupation's continued refusal to provide the necessary diesel to operate them, and therefore our crews will not be able to respond to citizens' calls until the Israeli occupation allows humanitarian organisations to bring in the necessary quantities of diesel.

▪️We warn that the continued refusal to supply the Civil Defense with the quantities of diesel needed to operate rescue and firefighting vehicles is tantamount to a death sentence for citizens whose homes are bombed by the Israeli occupation and exposed to fires and puts citizens at great risk in light of the intensification of the Israeli bombing of homes and residential properties.

▪️Thus, our vehicles in Gaza and North Gaza governorates are without civil defence services, without international or Arab relief intervention to protect our defenceless Palestinian people in Gaza Strip.

الدفاع المدني: تم تشغيل مركبة إنقاذ واحدة في "محافظة غزة" بعد توفير كمية محدودة من السولار للوصول إلى أماكن الأحداث التي تحتاج إلى عمليات إنقاذ الأحياء.

Civil Defense: One rescue vehicle has been put into operation in "Gaza Governorate" after a limited amount of diesel was provided to reach areas requiring live rescue operations.

⭕ الدفاع المدني في "محافظة غزة" يعمل بمركبة إنقاذ واحدة فقط لعدم السولار اللازم؛ بينما ما تزال باقي المركبات متوقفة عن الحركة لليوم ال21 لعدم توفر السولار.

⭕ Civil Defense in "Gaza Governorate" operates with only one rescue vehicle due to lack of necessary diesel, while the rest of the vehicles remain out of service for the 21st consecutive day due to lack of diesel.

▪️The Israeli Occupation continues to completely stop the Civil Defense system from working and detain its vehicles in "North Gaza Governorate" for the 36th consecutive day.
