"Michael - I am not sure if this was a personal note or staff generated, but I wanted to reach out to explain why we are supporting a candidate outside of our own riding.

My husband and I were both life long conservative supporters. We followed Max for years and enjoyed reading the articles he wrote in the Financial Post (his article on supply management has always stuck with me).

We became 'card carrying' CPC supporters just so we could vote in the leadership contest. After that we were deeply disillusioned and became politically homeless.

Fast forward to the nightmare Covid years that scarred so many of us and left us feeling alone and helpless. We attended a rally in Oakville where you and Max, among others, were in attendance.

I have followed you and feel that you have a good shot at making a difference. You have worked hard and you deserve to be supported.

It is disheartening to learn that two of the heroes of the Freedom Convoy, @LichTamara and @ChrisBarber1975, have been found guilty of mischief in the longest and one of the costliest trials in Canadian history.
