Now perhaps he could also remove the other major impediment to a deal with Trump by putting supply management on the table? Oh but ALL establishment parties just voted a law to keep it off the table in all future trade negotiations, so they painted themselves into a corner.

Note that Poilievre has always supported supply management of course, and also said he supported the digital service tax during the election. He had the exact same position as Carney.

"Yes I support the the Digital Service Tax. The principle is just. The idea is that these businesses generate revenue in Canada, so the principle is that they should contribute where they earn the revenue. So I think we should keep it in place."

A real tax cut means government spending has to GO DOWN when all you do is increase it.

Otherwise we’ll just end up paying more to reimburse the higher debt you accumulate, or through higher prices for everything when the central bank prints more money to fund that debt and debases the currency, as it does during every crisis.

As Canadians, sure, we are still privileged in many ways when we compare ourselves with many other places in the world, and we can be proud of what we have managed to accomplish and preserve of our way of life so far.

But let’s not kid ourselves. Canada today is a very sick, decadent country that is fast disintegrating socially, culturally and economically.
