Key members of the Trump administration are hinting at change. Vice President JD Vance has spoken about the disadvantages for the US of having the dollar as the world reserve currency. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said before joining the administration that we are in the midst of a Bretton Woods realignment, that he would like to be part of, and he also admitted to be a gold bug.

President Trump himself, in April, tweeted, "He who has the gold makes the rule." And have you noticed, Trump seems obsessed with gold?

Il y a des gens qui vont en prison parce qu'ils ont exprimé des propos. Ce n'est pas le cas au Canada présentement, mais si ces projets de loi sont en vigueur, c'est la perte pour nous. Pas pour moi en tant que chef d'un parti politique, mais pour nos supporteurs ou pour nos gens, ils vont peut-être penser 2 fois avant d'exprimer leur opinion. -
