Statement issued by the Resistance Committees in Palestine on the second anniversary of the martyrdom of the great Islamic and jihadist leader, Yahya Al-Sinwar, Abu Ibrahim:

We recall with pride and honor the second anniversary of the martyrdom of the great Islamic and jihadist leader Yahya Al-Sinwar, “Abu Ibrahim,” Head of the Political Bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, and one of the most prominent Palestinian leaders whose names became associated with the path of Resistance and the one who ignited the Battle of Al-Aqsa Flood. He attained martyrdom steadfast in his positions and clinging to his convictions until the final moments of his life, leaving behind a record rich in stances that will remain present in the Palestinian conscience.

The martyred leader Yahya Al-Sinwar embodied the model of a leader who lived for his people and their cause, carried the concerns of his homeland, and remained at the heart of the confrontation, believing in our people’s right to freedom, dignity, and self-determination. His journey was not merely a passing episode in our people’s history; rather, it expressed a firm national will that rejects submission and humiliation and clings to rights and principles regardless of the sacrifices involved. His martyrdom remains a prominent milestone in the path of Palestinian jihad and Resistance, and a page of pride and honor in the history of our people and our Ummah.

As the Resistance Committees in Palestine recall the heroism and steadfastness of the martyred leader, they affirm that Abu Ibrahim defeated the “Zionist” enemy in every confrontation he experienced: during his imprisonment, upon regaining his freedom in the Wafa Al-Ahrar prisoner exchange deal, in the Battle of Al-Aqsa Flood, and in confronting the enemy at the moment of his martyrdom—with an unbroken will and an unwavering position. His martyrdom was not the end of a leader’s journey, but the beginning of a new phase and a defining milestone that will remain present in our people’s memory, bearing witness that assassination cannot erase convictions and that force cannot wrest away the will of a people steadfastly committed to their rights.

We renew our pledge to the great leader Abu Ibrahim Al-Sinwar and to all the martyrs of our people that their sacrifices will remain alive in our conscience, and that our people’s inalienable national rights will remain our compass until the entity of crime, genocide, and ethnic cleansing—the fascist “Zionist” enemy entity—is eliminated.

May Allah have mercy on the martyred leader Yahya Al-Sinwar, make his memory a symbol of steadfastness and loyalty, and preserve our people’s dignity, will, and right to freedom.

Statement issued by Hezbollah’s Media Relations Department:

To clarify the circumstances surrounding the incident that took place in the Gallery Semaan area, and the misleading news and information circulated by some media outlets, Hezbollah’s Media Relations Department wishes to clarify that what happened stemmed from a raid carried out by a security forces patrol in an area of security sensitivity, without following the agreed-upon procedure between Hezbollah and the security authorities. This procedure takes into account the security sensitivity of Beirut’s southern suburb, amid the ongoing “Israeli” security threats and risks, and the precautions they necessitate, which both parties understand and are committed to addressing responsibly.

After the necessary communications were made with the relevant authorities and legal references, and the circumstances were clarified, the patrol proceeded with its work normally and calmly, implementing the judicial warrant issued by the Public Prosecutor at the Court of Cassation, based on a referral from the Minister of Public Health, Rakan Nasreddine. By the time the Lebanese army arrived, matters had returned to normal.

Hezbollah’s Media Relations Department affirms that the party has absolutely no connection whatsoever to the aforementioned warehouse or its contents. The party is committed to protecting citizens’ health and safety and supporting the measures taken by the Ministry of Public Health, just as it is committed to ensuring that the security forces carry out their duties and perform their normal role.

– Before the escalation, and following Sayyed’s speech on the anniversary of the Hijra, in which he called for ending the blockade and addressing urgent humanitarian needs, we contacted the Saudi side, both directly and indirectly, demanding that it respond to what we had agreed upon in the roadmap before the Al-Aqsa Flood. We submitted more than one proposal, but unfortunately, it did not take a single step forward, believing that regional and international developments and Yemen’s participation in the Al-Aqsa Flood meant it no longer needed to fulfill its commitments toward Yemen, and that further humanitarian and economic pressure would be enough to force Sanaa to accept what it had failed to achieve militarily.

– Before the Saudi side proceeded to bomb Sanaa Airport on July 13, 2026, we contacted it and warned it of the dangers of such a step. We told it that it must allow the official delegation, along with the patients and stranded people accompanying them, to return. Unfortunately, it insisted on its position and bombed the airport in a provocative move that ended the state of truce and de-escalation. In the face of this serious violation, its insistence on maintaining restrictions on Yemen’s airports and ports under blockade, its obstruction of political and humanitarian solutions, and its rejection of or failure to engage in any realistic and fair solutions in any way, the Yemeni Armed Forces had no choice but to fulfill their duty.

– Several days after the first operation in response to the Saudi side began, our brothers in the Sultanate of Oman contacted us, presenting a number of proposals to de-escalate, and we responded positively. Among these proposals was that we agree to a five-day truce during which negotiations would take place in a calm atmosphere. Within three days, we submitted our response agreeing to the Saudi request to halt escalation with it for five days, provided that the Saudi side agreed to the humanitarian demands. From the date we submitted our response until military operations began on the western coast, the Saudi response arrived after approximately 21 days, without any indication that it was prepared to address the humanitarian demands positively, despite having agreed to them before the Al-Aqsa Flood. This was accompanied by intensive field efforts to mobilize forces, arm, and escalate, leading us to realize that this delay was merely an attempt to buy time, and that these additional conditions likewise demonstrated the Saudi side’s lack of seriousness.

– Redefining victory: Moving beyond the goal of repelling attacks and inflicting military damage on the enemy to breaking its power and undermining its confidence in its ability to threaten “Israel” in the future.

– Strengthening the home front and national identity: Emphasizing internal cohesion and readiness to fight, while reinforcing “Israel’s” status as a regional power and the nation-state of the Jewish people.
