Do not ignore persistent fever.

If you have been treated for malaria but your fever is not improving, return promptly to a healthcare facility for further assessment.

Do not wait until you become seriously ill.

Lassa fever is highly infectious. There are simple actions we can all take to protect ourselves and loved ones:

✔️Store food and grains in tightly covered containers to protect them from contamination by rodents.

✔️Keep rodents out of your home by maintaining clean surroundings, disposing of waste properly, and blocking openings through which rodents can enter.

✔️Avoid direct contact with infected persons and their belongings.

Stay informed. Stay safe.
