What is halving?
📈 In the past, bitcoin halvings have correlated with a spike in bitcoin prices.
Back in 2009, when the first cryptocurrency was released, each block contained 50 BTC, but this amount should decrease by 50% approximately every 4 years.
There have been three halvings to date, and a block contains only 6.25 BTC. When the next halving happens, the block will contain only 3.125 BTC.
Also, 19 million BTC have already been issued, and it is expected that the remaining 2 million will be mined right up to 2140.
