Vatican: Israeli actions against Christians in West Bank cannot be justified

"The Secretary of State of the Holy See, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, has condemned the behaviour of Israeli settlers towards Christians in the West Bank, describing the situation as “absolutely unacceptable.”   

According to Vatican News, Parolin made the remarks during a press conference in Rome, held on the sidelines of a meeting about religious freedom around the world. 

He said that “This is certainly a very complex issue,” adding, “but we fail to understand why these Christians, who are simply living their normal lives, should be subjected to such hostility.”        

The Cardinal pointed out that the recent harassment in the town of Taybeh, east of Ramallah, represents a clear violation of the principles of coexistence and religious freedom."

Jewish figures across the globe call on UN and world leaders to sanction Israel

"Over 450 signatories, including former Israeli officials, Oscar winners, authors and intellectuals have signed an open letter demanding accountability over Israel’s conduct in Gaza, the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem. The letter’s release comes as EU leaders meet in Brussels on Thursday amid reports they plan to shelve proposals for sanctions over human rights violations.
“We have not forgotten that so many of the laws, charters, and conventions established to safeguard and protect all human life were created in response to the Holocaust,” the signatories write. “Those safeguards have been relentlessly violated by Israel.”
Signatories include former speaker of the Israeli Knesset Avraham Burg, former Israeli peace negotiator Daniel Levy, British author Michael Rosen, Canadian author Naomi Klein, Oscar-winning film-maker Jonathan Glazer, US actor Wallace Shawn, Emmy winners Ilana Glazer and Hannah Einbinder, and Pulitzer prize winner Benjamin Moser."

Donald Trump Gets New Nobel Peace Prize Nod for Covid Vaccine - Newsweek

"Republican Senators Bill Cassidy of Louisiana and John Barrasso of Wyoming introduced a resolution recommending President Donald Trump receive the Nobel Peace Prize due to his successful efforts to expedite the creation of COVID-19 vaccines via Operation Warp Speed during the 2020 pandemic.

The resolution introduced by the GOP lawmakers, who are both physicians, says Trump's efforts averted "an estimated 1,600,000 hospitalizations and 235,000 deaths in the United States," and also saved "approximately 14,400,000 lives globally."
