"Freud defined the collector as someone who replaces bonds with other people, with objects. The way that medicine is often practised today there is a transaction across an object which is the pharmaceutical..I suggest to replace those objects, the pharmaceuticals, with bonds with people, and a good place to start is the doctor-patient relationship."
