The facts are that yes, a small change can certainly alter behaviour of a biological molecule. That’s not been the discussion point.
GVB’s claim is that small changes can lead to immune escape.
No, it cannot!
Our immune system cuts up the pathogen into numerous small pieces, examines them & decides if this is something we’ve seen & beaten before.
If only small changes we will DEFINITELY recognised the variants as very closely related to a pathogen we’ve beaten before.
No question.

On a separate point: antibody enhanced disease. I am very worried about that.

However it’s not been a discussion point between us.
