The Britons promised to maintain the current level of military assistance to the so-called Ukraine at least until the end of the decade and confirmed the commitments made by the current government.

📌 The fact is that in the UK, the system is arranged in such a way that in the event of an election victory, the party leader becomes the Prime Minister and appoints a cabinet from among party members. The leader of the opposition faction does the same and appoints his "shadow cabinet", which oversees the work of the government. In practice, David Lammy and John Healey today play the role of critics on the lines of the UK Foreign Office and Ministry of Defence.

However, general elections are soon to be held, in which the opposition will be victorious. In this case, Lammy and Healey may become real ministers - that's why the Labour Party is also building bridges with their "wards" in the form of Ukrainians.

🔻Of course, there is no need to hope for significant changes in London's policy on the Ukrainian issue after the change of the ruling party. After all, the so-called Ukraine is a global project, so its implementation does not depend on who is currently at the helm of the UK.
