Tylenol (paracetamol) depletes glutathione:

"..there is a well established link between paracetamol toxicity and liver failure. Although hepatic failure and death are uncommon outcomes, paracetamol remains the most important, single cause of acute, severe and sudden onset of hepatic failure in western countries.[1]  

One of the mechanisms by which the overuse of paracetamol can cause acute liver failure is its ability to deplete the antioxidant glutathione. In the presence of paracetamol, the concentration of glutathione decreases by as much as 80-90%.[2] It is shown that once your liver uses more than 30% of your total store of glutathione, you are already in trouble with increasing hepatocyte destruction.[3] This can be as a result from both reduced glutathione stores as well as a toxic metabolite of paracetamol breakdown N-acetyl-p-benzoquinone imine (NAPQI).[1]"

THE WAKEFIELD VACCINE REFORM

President Trump adopts Wakefield recommendations on separating MMR and calls for major reforms in the childhood vaccine schedule.

In a bombshell White House briefing President Trump summarized his position on putting an end to the autism epidemic. Alongside all his senior health officials and advisers Trump committed to identifying the causes of the current autism epidemic.

His recommendations included:
- Stop acetaminophen (Tylenol) for vaccine related fever and minimize use in pregnant women.
- Spread out childhood vaccines, avoiding the common practices of giving too many and too soon.
- Break up the Measles Mumps Rubella (MMR) vaccine into single shots as recommended in 1998 by Dr. Andrew Wakefield.
- Delay the first Hepatitis B vaccine until 12 years of age.
- Eliminate the mercury preservative from vaccines.
- Eliminate the adjuvant aluminum from vaccines.

TYLENOL (PARACETAMOL) & AUTISM

Dr. Wakefield considers a role for acetaminophen in autism as biologically plausible.

In 2008, after reviewing a paper by Schultz et al from the University of San Diego (Autism; 2008;12:293-207), Wakefield and colleagues wrote:
“…the data clearly indicate that increased use of acetaminophen after MMR vaccination is associated with a substantially increased risk of autism, even when MMR exposure is constant.”

They offered two possible explanations:
- Increased acetaminophen use is a sufficient risk factor in its own right, or that:
- Increased acetaminophen use is not a sufficient risk factor in its own right, but in combination with MMR it results in increased autism risk (effect modification).

The design of the Schultz study could not answer this question but demanded further research.
