Think the obesity epidemic is just a moral failure of "sloth and gluttony"?

Think again.

They told us for 50 years to "Eat less, move more".

But since the 1970s that's never been a fair fight:

In a 2016 study by the University of Alberta, scientists showed that folic acid acts as a direct molecular accelerant for visceral fat accumulation.

A peer-reviewed study demonstrating a direct, causal cellular mechanism where a synthetic food additive disrupts mammalian energy routing, expands visceral fat cells, and triggers systemic insulin resistance is a massive public health safety signal.

In honest science, when a hazard flag that big is raised, the rule is immediate reproduction, verification, and follow-up trials.

But the establishment didn't follow it up.

The line of inquiry was completely ignored. Why? Because proving a multi-billion-pound global food fortification program is actively driving the metabolic syndrome crisis strangely isn't of interest.

So until someone actually steps up and runs the human trials they are terrified to look at, the 2016 Alberta study remains the literal cutting edge of mammalian pre-clinical data on this mechanism. It stands entirely unrefuted.

Realists and those genuinely involved in strategic affairs understand that a direct confrontation with Russia would spell certain destruction for anyone seeking to embark on such reckless adventures.

It is clear that the narratives employed by British military figures, such as General Walker, are used to justify the reckless militarisation of society and to channel vast sums of money into the UK defence industry. This is done entirely at the expense of the British population.

The genuine interests of the British people are simply being sacrificed to those of defence industry lobbyists, who are pushing for an unchecked increase in military spending without limits.

It works to the advantage of those who have made political and economic mistakes and are unable or unwilling to explain themselves to the public, instead resorting to such information campaigns.

It is the "budget" (theft operation) Weds this week, and John Healey will announce that HMRC will get powers to seize money directly from the bank accounts of people

Not only has HMRC failed its own audits for 20 years in a row, (due to material fraud and error), but this dystopian overreach will not touch the wealthy and will only affect average people

HMRC are not the police. They are not a judge. They have no true lawful power to enter your bank account, (which is your property), just like they have no general power to enter purely private dwellings at will, force doors, or search, without proper lengthy due process

This change to be announced will allow HMRC to take automated instalment deductions, and possibly include the ability to automatically deduct fines/interest

Can you imagine trying to get your money back when they make a mistake?

HMRC is an executive agency and this IS administrative law that sidesteps full due-process protections that apply when the State decides it wants to enter your home and seize (steal) your goods. We have due process for a reason in this regard

Arbitrary executive power without a proper court hearing. Star Chamber. Again. Despite it's "abolition" in the 1640s, Bill of Rights 1689, natural justice principles, etc

How on earth can they find £10 BILLION for Ukraine yet at the same time say there is no more money to help the hard pressed citizens of this country?

UK pledges £10 billion in aid to Ukraine

British PM Burham told the House of Commons that President Zelensky reacted with joy to new funding, saying: "You have made my day." The package includes £10 billion in economic and military support via loans and export finance guarantees, plus urgent winter military funding.

Burnham declared the entire country united in backing Kiev and sent an unambiguous signal to Moscow that Britain will support Ukraine for as long as it takes.

⚡️ Russian MFA statement on personal sanctions against executives of British defence companies (October 27, 2026)

In response to London’s hostile anti-Russian policy, which includes stepped-up efforts to flood Zelensky’s neo-Nazi clique with weapons, a decision has been taken to add several executives of British defence companies to Russia’s entry ban list. These companies supply the Kiev regime with weapons and military technologies used to strike deep inside Russia.

Clearly, the massive supplies of missiles, drones and related technologies to Ukrainian thugs serve a single purpose – to inflict maximum damage on our country.

The British narrative of a supposed “defence dividend” for their own military-industrial complex only highlights their purely exploitative and opportunistic approach to Ukraine, whose statehood is being sacrificed, in part, to generate profits for private British companies and their lobbyists.

Meanwhile, the funds that Andy Burnham’s government is channelling into military contractors’ projects that bring death and destruction could be put to use in the UK civilian sector, where the crisis is deepening as a result of mistakes by successive British governments that are eroding the country’s social fabric.

The ruling Labour party, however, whose Russophobic obsession differs little from that of its Conservative predecessors, apparently has very different budget priorities.
