شاهرخ مشکین‌قلم از معدود رقصندگانی‌ست که تنها خود نمی رقصد بلکه دیگران را با واژگانش
می‌رقصاند.
او مجموعه‌ای‌ست از مفاهیمی که مدام در حال حرکت‌اند. منظومه‌ای‌ست از شعر و شعور تاریخی. دیدن او کفایت نمی‌کند و باید او را شنید.
شاهرخ اساطیر و مفاهیم مربوط به آنان را جویده و مرزهای واقعیت و خیال را در زبان و حرکات بدنش پشت سر گذاشته است.
پس درنهایت در تعریف او به این گزاره‌ی این‌همانی کفایت می‌کنیم:
