According to these individuals—who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to comment publicly—around eight F‑15s sustained minor damage and were reportedly returned to service, while one A‑10 Thunderbolt was hit and lost one of its wings. Nevertheless, no American personnel casualties were reported in the attack on Jordan.
The report also notes that U.S. forces fired more than 30 Patriot missiles to counter the Iranian strikes; however, in multiple videos released from the time of the attack, more than 50 interceptor launches can be clearly seen and counted.
