We report that the group “Ansar al-Sunna” has released a filmed statement threatening members of the Alawite and Christian communities with suicide car-bomb attacks targeting school areas and students. The statement declared an intention to target Alawite gatherings, their schools, and Christian churches in Homs, Hama, Latakia, and Tartus.

The speaker in the video said their operations will be launched from an “Emirate of Homs” with the aim that Islam will prevail and the banner “There is no god but Allah” will be raised — after which, he claimed, they will enter Jerusalem.
