A new wave of deliberately ignited wildfires has erupted across different regions of Syria, with the de facto authority’s jihadist forces—operating under the so-called “General Security” and “Ministry of Defense”—losing all restraint as they continue to set fires on a sectarian basis.

🔹 Coinciding with the visit of terrorist Abu Mohammad al-Jolani to the United States, the de facto authority—effectively no different from ISIS—has been orchestrating fires in Christian and Alawite areas. Simultaneously, extremist elements of this terrorist authority have been observed in these regions, particularly within the Air Defense Regiment in Dhahr al-Qusayr. Among them are foreign mercenaries working alongside units stationed at Riyad Shalish’s palace, assisting in the arson campaign.

🔹 Never in the history of Syria and its coastal regions have residents witnessed wildfires of such scale and repetition within a single season. From spring through early autumn, waves of fires have erupted one after another, each one larger and more devastating than the last.

🔹 Eyewitness testimonies and available evidence confirm the fires were deliberate: direct gunfire into forested areas, the use of drones to ignite blazes, the systematic dismissal of firefighters from Alawite and Christian communities, along with deliberate negligence in firefighting operations.

🔹 Denial of reality cannot conceal the overwhelming evidence of the de facto authority’s role in deliberately instigating these fires and committing heinous crimes against both the land and its people. The flames devouring forests, homes, and villages are not incidental—they are a calculated weapon aimed at erasing identity, memory, and history.

🔹 Despite this, the propaganda outlets of the de facto authority persist in denying the truth, going as far as accusing local residents and so-called “remnants” of burning their own lands.

This deep-seated hatred against everything green and beautiful in Syria is not new—it is historical, and today it has found its opportunity to surface openly. How can anyone trust an authority that perpetrates crimes of this magnitude? And how can certain media figures shamelessly advocate for normalization and acceptance of this “status quo,” unless they are mere mercenaries stripped of all dignity?

It is yet another attempt to break the will of the people and force submission. But as history has shown, no matter how grave the conspiracies or how severe the tragedies, the people have never surrendered—and never will.
