Attack on Deir Hafir Post Office

The post office in Deir Hafir, in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, was subjected to a direct attack by forces affiliated with the Ministry of Defense of the de facto authority led by Ahmad Al-Shara (Abu Mohammad Al-Jolani), supported by Turkey-backed factions. The attack was carried out using artillery shelling and loitering (suicide) drones.

⚖️ The Post Office constitutes a purely civilian service facility, used exclusively for the provision of postal and administrative services to the civilian population, and holds no military function or dual-use character.

⚠️ The deliberate targeting of a protected civilian object constitutes a serious violation of international humanitarian law and may amount to a war crime.
