Reactions without limits, emoji statuses and more
Telegram for Android, iOS and macOS, as well as the Unigram client, have been updated to version 9.0. Telegram Desktop has been updated to version 4.2.
Limitless Reactions
• All users had dozens of new reactions, including those that previously could only be sent with a Telegram Premium subscription.
• An updated menu for choosing reactions can be opened — to make it easier to view many new emoji.
• The reactions you use most often are automatically moved to the top of the list.
• Premium subscribers will now be able to use any of the thousands of custom emoji as reactions.
• Premium users can now send up to 3 reactions per message.
• Updated reactions menu works only in private chats and groups.
• Group admins can choose whether custom kits are available as reactions in their community.
Emoji Profile Statuses
• Users with a Telegram Premium subscription can set an animated status emoji next to their name.
• Status will show what mood the user is in or what they are doing.
• You can set one of seven default statuses that change color depending on the Telegram theme, — or choose from an endless variety of custom emojis.
• To set your status, click on your Premium icon above your chat list or go to Settings.
• If you want to turn on the status for a certain period of time, press and hold the selected emoji.
Sign-in improvements
• Users who often log out of the Telegram application and log in again will now be able to receive authorization codes not in SMS, but by e-mail.
• An alternative is to use the — «Sign in with Apple» or «Sign in with Google» feature.
• Improved registration and login process on iOS devices: users are greeted with an updated interface and smooth animations similar to the Android client.
New links to user profiles

Telegram for Android, iOS and macOS were updated to version 9.1. Telegram Desktop has been updated to version 4.3.
Topics in groups
• To make it easier to follow the flow of information in conversations, admins of groups of 200 or more members can now organize discussions by topic.
• The feature allows you to create separate chats within the main group for certain discussions.
• For each topic, you can separately set up new message notifications and quickly view the media files that were published in it in the General Media section.
• Participants of such "sub-chats" have access to the entire arsenal of familiar tools, including polls, pinned messages, and bots.
• Administrators can enable them in Group Settings and choose who can create topics in the Permissions section.
You can test the topics option in groups in the official @TheForum chat.
Collectible Usernames
• Now you can bind several collectible public names to accounts and chats - in addition to regular one.
• Users can purchase or sell a valuable account or chat link on the new Fragment platform.
• Collectible public names look and work exactly like regular usernames like @username.
• Unlike standard usernames, collectible names can be shorter than 5 characters.
• Once a collectible public name is purchased, the user can dispose of it as they wish — for example, sell it or save it for later use.
• Any of the purchased public names can be deactivated. In this case, it will not be visible in the search results, but it will still remain with the owner.
🌟 Voice-to-Text for Video Messages
• Now Premium-users have the opportunity to instantly translate speech from video messages into text format.
