Compassionate Action
True compassion is not ignorance. My father taught me a very valuable lesson as a young man. He told me about when the Muslims first met my people the Buddhist in Burma and saw them worshipping The Buddha with their mistaken idea that Buddha was a God, when in fact, he is a great teacher, so they murdered 30,000 Buddhist in Allah’s name because the Buddhist were taught non-violence is the true path of compassion.
This is not the truth.
My father said, sometimes to protect yourself and others, compassionate action is required, murder is necessary especially in the face of pure evil. He said to me, never let this happen again. This is the true path of the warrior. Killing and murder without cause is unacceptable, but sometime to protect yourself and others compassionate action is necessary. Sometime, in order to be a good man or woman, you must learn to be fast.
