Science once believed that if man traveled more than 10 mph, It would suck away the air, and people would suffocate.
Then we made cars. 🤷♂️
Science believed that washing your hands before surgery was a waste of time.
Then we discovered bacteria. 🤦♂️
Science believed there would never be a nuclear bomb.
Then we set one off in the desert in New Mexico. 👽
That’s why anyone who tells you “the science is settled” or “trust the science” is not actually a scientist at all. They are a priest masquerading as a scientist, just wearing a lab coat instead of a frock.
Real scientists know that science is never settled, and it’s always OK to question anything. That’s how we progress our species.
