We affirm that the storming of the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque by extremist Itamar Ben-Gvir and a number of candidates for the Knesset elections, accompanied by settlers, constitutes an electoral spectacle at the expense of Islamic holy sites and an assault on the sanctity and identity of the mosque.

We warn against exploiting Al-Aqsa Mosque in Israeli electoral competition and imposing new Judaization measures in occupied Jerusalem.

We call on our Palestinian people to intensify their presence and steadfastness at Al-Aqsa Mosque and support the people of Jerusalem. We also call on Arab and Islamic countries and human rights organizations to take practical action to protect Al-Aqsa Mosque and confront the occupation’s assaults.
