We demand the international community put an end to the systematic targeting of the police force.

‎The Ministry of Interior and National Security mourns a constellation of officers and members of the General Directorate of Police, who ascended as martyrs in a heinous massacre committed by the Israeli occupation by targeting them while performing their usual work in the al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis city in the southern Gaza Strip this afternoon, and they are:

‎As the Ministry of Interior and National Security mourns the martyrs of duty from the officers and members of the police, it condemns this heinous crime, and appeals to the international community to take urgent action and pressure the occupation to stop its crimes against the police force, which performs civilian tasks according to the law in maintaining the security and safety of citizens.

‎These crimes and systematic Israeli targeting have led to the martyrdom of 75 police officers and members since the ceasefire came into effect in October of last year.

The horrific massacre committed by the occupation army at noon today, targeting a group of police officers in al-Mawasi, Khan Younis, resulting in the martyrdom of five of them, along with the bombing of Gaza City that resulted in the martyrdom of three citizens, including a father and his child, and wounded several others, constitutes a deliberate war crime.

These attacks add to the ongoing series of crimes against our Palestinian people, aimed at preventing the restoration of life and security in the Gaza Strip and continuing the genocidal war whose tragic chapters our people continue to endure.

The deliberate and repeated targeting of civilian police officers while carrying out their duties to maintain order and security represents an attempt to obstruct recovery efforts, prevent the restoration of stability, and spread chaos in the Gaza Strip, in implementation of the policy of forced displacement that the occupation seeks to impose on our Palestinian people.

We affirm that international silence and the failure to confront these crimes encourage the occupation and the Netanyahu government to continue their policies of killing, destruction, and blockade as part of their efforts to displace our Palestinian people from their land.

We renew our call on the mediators, the guarantor states of the ceasefire agreement, and all concerned parties to take urgent action to stop the daily crimes against our Palestinian people, compel the occupation government to implement the terms of the ceasefire agreement, provide the necessary protection, and ensure the delivery of humanitarian and relief aid to our Palestinian people.
