⚡️Gaza based journalist Asem Alnabih:
You probably don’t know this man, but you should.
Throughout the genocidal war, he devoted his time and energy to fighting the drug trade in Gaza, which was supported by Israel. Just a few days ago, Israel killed him by bombing his vehicle while he was on a mission to seize a shipment of drugs.
Israel bombed his home and killed his children (Ahmed 11& Rasha 10) yet he never gave up. He continued to resist in his own way.
After everything he endured, he remained a man of extraordinary courage, integrity, and determination.
His name was Arafat Alareer!
For 15 years, I had the privilege of knowing him. He was one of the finest men I have ever known.
May he rest in peace after years of tireless dedication and immense sacrifice.

“Ten million citizens in the U.S. state of Michigan chose an Egyptian politician to represent them, a man whose excellence, creativity, and brilliance everyone agreed upon.
Yet 100 million Egyptians have accepted living under a failed, repressive military dictatorship since 2013, ruled by Sisi!!!”

one of the smartest people I know in politics, told me yesterday we’d lose the generic ballot by 13 points. I felt negative going into Tuesday, but even I was shocked by this. In his polling, he saw that a lot of Trump 2024 voters were angry and planning to vote for Democrats. He asked those voters who had abandoned us what would cause them to come back on our team. The top four answers, accounting for nearly all of the responses were:
End the war
Focus on cost of living/inflation
Put America First
Change our relationship to Israel
