⚡️General Directorate of Civil Defense – Gaza Strip:

▪️ We warn of a humanitarian catastrophe as winter sets in. Since the onset of the current weather depression, we have received over 1,500 distress calls, following damage to tents and shelters across the various governorates of the Gaza Strip.

▪️ Entire camps across the Gaza Strip have been drowning since dawn today; displaced families—including children and women—are submerged, and their tents have been swept away by the rain.

▪️ We emphasize that the Civil Defense, acting alone, cannot cope with the repercussions of this weather system, given the scale of the catastrophe and the severe shortage of the resources and equipment needed to drain waters.

▪️ We call upon local and international organizations to fulfill their responsibilities by providing urgent support—including equipment, machinery, fuel, and relief supplies—to protect the lives of the population, especially children, women, the elderly, and the sick.
