What Syrians have suffered is no small matter

Millions were displaced, and hundreds of thousands were killed over 14 years.

And before that, there were 50 years of rule by a minority regime that was hostile to the majority, just like other Arab entities today, which are ruled by regimes hostile to the customs, traditions, identity and history of the majority they rule.

This Syrian family is sleeping under Karsana Bridge, in Latakia, on the street.

They traveled from Aleppo to a man who had promised them work and housing on his farm.

They came looking for a way to earn a living, only to find themselves on the street, with no work, no shelter, and not even a place to sleep, after he told them there was no work for them on his farm, despite having promised them work and housing there.

Millions are in situations like this family across Syria, Egypt, Sudan, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Yemen…. despite living on rivers of oil, minerals, and gold.
