17 Jordanian captives are currently held in Israeli prisons, while the fate of 34 missing Jordanians remains unknown, amid indications that they may be held in secret prisons or that their bodies may be held in the Cemeteries of Numbers.
While obtaining information about Jordanian captives was already difficult before the war on Gaza, it has now become almost impossible amid the complete isolation imposed by Israel on the prisons and the escalating abuses and violations targeting captives through mistreatment, starvation, and humiliation.
