A simple Syrian farmer from Hasakah who suffers from a neurological illness, visited Damascus for medical treatment.

He wanted to capture his joy over the liberation and victory with a photo in front of the Damascene Sword monument, wearing his traditional qamis

The photo spread on TikTok, and a bullying campaign began, mocking his simplicity and his traditional clothing.

In response, a widespread solidarity campaign began among Syrians.

The Syrian government also responded through the Ministry of Information by putting up a large billboard featuring his photo with the words:

β€œ Son of Hasakah, You brightened Damascus with your presence,” - VIDEO

A kidnapped poet !

After the UAE kidnapped Turkish-Egyptian poet Abdulrahman Yusuf from Lebanon following his return from a visit to Syria, where he celebrated with Syrians after the fall of Assad, on December 28, 2024, the UAE β€œsentenced” him to 10 years in prison over poems he wrote criticizing the UAE’s role in Arab countries

Today, a UAE personality announced that the kidnapped poet has been granted release and β€œhas cases against him in Egypt.”

This could mean he will be transferred to Egypt, where he will likely face torture or death, since he also wrote poems criticizing the Sisi coup regime.

This was the last video of him in Syria, where he said:

β€œWe ask Allah to grant the Syrian people success in confronting all these malicious challenges being plotted against them by the entire world.

And among those plotting and conspiring are the regimes of Arab disgrace, and the Arab Zionists in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt…”

⚑️Civil Defense Spokesperson Mahmoud Basal:

β–ͺ️More than 8,000 bodies remain under the rubble of destroyed buildings in various areas of the Gaza Strip.

β–ͺ️The Engineers' Tower, located near 20th Street north of Nuseirat refugee camp, was targeted by Israeli airstrikes during the genocide.

β–ͺ️The tower was sheltering more than 350 citizens and displaced persons at the time. Since the beginning of the war, Civil Defense teams have recovered approximately 160 bodies from the site, without specifying how long the search for the remaining remains will take.

β–ͺ️The search and recovery operation is being conducted with very limited resources, as the Civil Defense is working at the site with only one excavator.
