Dr. Nael Abu Obeid “Abu Atiya,” commander of the Rafah Brigade and one of the first generation of the al-Qassam Brigades in the Gaza Strip.
A longtime companion of thecommanders Raed al-Attar, Muhammad Abu Shamala, and Abu Anas Shabana.
The streets, alleys, and tunnels of Rafah knew him.
Gilad Shalit and Hadar Goldin knew him.
October 7 knew him.
The Israeli occupation knew him well and attempted to assassinate him more than once but failed.
Today, he departed as a martyr after long years of resistance.
It is time for your weary body to rest,
