If the Saudi-Israeli-American-backed government in Yemen takes over the country, the first thing they will attempt to do is : βlimiting weapons to the hands of the state.β
Disarming the population and monopolizing arms are the priorities of neocolonial client regimes.
In Yemen, the right to bear arms is a social culture, which means an oppressive regime in Yemen will not last long unless it gains genuine consent from the Yemeni population

This Syrian old man hid his private library in his home in the city of Damascus since the end of 2011 before escaping to Kuwait out of fear of the Assad regime, where the mere presence of a banned book could lead you to Assad's gulag and death under torture.
Today, the uncle returned to his library and completely removed the wall behind which he had hidden it, revealing valuable books that the Assad regime prohibited possessing and circulating.

The death of administrative detainee Motaz Nizam al-Atrash, 21, inside Ofer Prison after nearly 11 months of detention without charge or trial requires an urgent investigation into the circumstances of his death.
Motaz al-Atrash entered Israeli occupation prisons as a 20-year-old young man and left them a martyr before any charge was brought against him or he was put on trial.
The death of a 21-year-old detainee inside prison raises serious questions about the conditions of his detention and what he was subjected to during the months preceding his death.
We hold the Israeli occupation army and Prison Service responsible for the death of Motaz al-Atrash and demand full disclosure of the circumstances of his death, his medical file, and the conditions of his detention.
The death of al-Atrash renews warnings about the danger facing thousands of Palestinian captives amid harsh detention conditions and continuing complaints of violations inside prisons.
Administrative detention kept Motaz al-Atrash behind bars for nearly 11 months based on what is called a βsecret file,β without charge or trial.
The silence of international institutions regarding what is happening inside occupation prisons is no longer acceptable. What is required is an independent investigation and accountability for those responsible for violations against the captives.
We demand immediate international action to protect the captives and open the prisons to independent monitoring
