Today, October 26, 2026, Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir and former Knesset member Moshe Feiglin stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque one day before Israeli elections.
⚡️HAMAS:

We affirm that the storming of the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque by extremist Itamar Ben-Gvir and a number of candidates for the Knesset elections, accompanied by settlers, constitutes an electoral spectacle at the expense of Islamic holy sites and an assault on the sanctity and identity of the mosque.

We warn against exploiting Al-Aqsa Mosque in Israeli electoral competition and imposing new Judaization measures in occupied Jerusalem.

We call on our Palestinian people to intensify their presence and steadfastness at Al-Aqsa Mosque and support the people of Jerusalem. We also call on Arab and Islamic countries and human rights organizations to take practical action to protect Al-Aqsa Mosque and confront the occupation’s assaults.

⚡️Syrian sources:

Some Syrian outlets claim that a US drone strike targeted the vehicle on the Homs–Damascus highway today, killing Abu Abdul Rahman al-Libi, a former military commander of Hurras al-Din who previously served in Jabhat al-Nusra before splitting from it over ideological disagreements.

He had survived an airstrike approximately 1.5 years ago that killed his associate, Fadl Allah al-Libi.

⚡️Update:

The little girl Jouri who was shot and killed by Israeli army soldiers gunfire at displaced families tents last night

Her aunt says:

Her mother said that when the shooting at displaced families tents in al-Mawasi, southern Gaza Strip, started late at night, her 4 children, the youngest just 2 years old boy, got scared. So she covered them inside the tent and went to check on their grandmother in another tent, where she found her bleeding.

When she returned to her tent after the Israeli occupation gunfire at displaced families tents stopped, she removed the cover over her children to tell them the shooting had stopped and take them to check on their grandmother. She then discovered that a bullet had struck her 7-year-old daughter, Jouri Islam al-Soufi

Their father was killed by Israeli occupation army about a year and half ago.

⚡️Radea Force in Gaza:

In the early hours of dawn, collaborator gangs advanced toward the tents of displaced families in the Ard al-Laymoun area, northwest of Rafah, under occupation air cover, and began opening fire directly at the tents.

Radea Force, alongside members of our people, confronted them and engaged them in direct combat at point-blank range, resulting in collaborators killed and wounded.

During the confrontation, the collaborators began shouting and insulting Allah, demonstrating their level of religious and moral depravity, before occupation reconnaissance drones intervened and targeted the resistance fighters with 2 missiles. Meanwhile, the collaborators continued opening fire at the tents of displaced families, resulting in a number of martyrs and injuries, including 1 in serious condition. Occupation artillery supported the collaborators with artillery shells and smoke shells fired from the “Yellow Line” to secure their withdrawal back behind it.

We mourn our heroic martyrs and salute this heroic and honorable popular resistance, which foils the plans of the occupation and its collaborators.

We say to the traitorous collaborators: Your targeting of the tents of displaced families will not go unpunished, and the Yellow Line will not protect you from the anger of our people.

The current Syrian regime is a fucking joke.

Any country can carry out airstrikes on Syrian soil, even the Jordanian regime.

Two different countries carried out multiple airstrikes in Syria just today!

The Jordanian army wiped out an entire Syrian family.

If there is a capable government in Syria, individuals who have committed crimes or are suspected of committing crimes should be arrested, tried, and jailed by the Syrian authorities.

Not by a foreign country bombing Syrian citizens.

⚡️Syrian parliament member Hassan Soufan:

“Daraa is not a punching bag for anyone seeking to respond to the attack that targeted the church in Karak. The blood of our children and women is precious to us, just as the blood of the innocent people killed in the church is precious. Innocent people must not pay the price for crimes they did not commit.

The timing is extremely sensitive, on the eve of the Israeli elections, and uncontrolled reactions could open the door to escalation that would benefit the Israeli occupation. What we need most is wisdom and careful consideration of the consequences.

The Syrian government has announced that the airstrikes took place without prior coordination with it and that it has begun an investigation and communication with the Jordanian side. We trust that it will continue taking the necessary measures to preserve the country’s sovereignty, protect the rights of the victims, and prevent these attacks from happening again.

Unity of word and ranks, preserving our security, denying pretexts to those plotting against our country, and supporting the Syrian state in addressing this attack are the most important things we must uphold at this sensitive stage.”
